My Links Meme

I’m so far behind on my tags and I almost put this one off but - geesh, people are going to start to think I’m a snob! LOL! Not a snob - just super busy! So, with that thought in mind, I thought I better jump on this one ;)

Just copy paste THIS and everything below up until my Five links:

I thought it would be cool to have a meme where we post links. We can post up to five. Then we tell five more people to share their links. If we all share who tagged us, our links are sure to be seen!

They can be business links, favorite sites, affiliate links, whatever you want…

There are Five Rules:

1. MUST be clean. No R rated sites.
2. Only FIVE links.
3. MUST tell 5 people.
4. A link back to the person who tagged you
5. Lara’s Place is the meme originator. (an active link is appreciated)

———– end copy paste ———————————–>

Aweber vs. Feedblitz

I’m fighting off the urge to be completely snotty - instead of a complete vent post, I decided to do a very nice comparison of Aweber and Feedblitz when it comes down to blog posts by email. *GASP* She’s being nice! Shocking isn’t it?

New Feature @ Mommy’s Helper - Classified Ads

I didn’t realize exaclty how popular classified ads were until about the past couple of months. I’ve been getting so many requests for the availability of classified ads. So, you asked for it … I shall deliver!

Visit our brand new Classifieds Ads @ MommysHelperOnline.com.

I’m really excited about this new section at MH.

First of all, gosh, I’m not afraid to admit it but I am so glad I’m done putting this thing together!! LOL! It seemed as though it took me forever to get it done … but, that’s not the important thing though, lol!

The second reason I’m so excited is I think this is going to be number one - affordable for any work at home mom (cause we all know the advertising budget is the smallest one we have) and number two - this is going to make it super-simple for work at home moms to do business with each other! One page for a quick review for whatever you’re looking for! Sounds like win-win kind of deal to me :D

So, visit our Work at Home Classifieds now and come back to let me know what you think! I look forward to the feedback!

Wish I were a fly today

Boy, I really do wish I was a fly today because I’d set place on my daughter’s shoulder and wouldn’t move till 4:00 this afternoon. Why? Because today was my little baby girl’s first day of Jr. High! What the heck? Where on Earth did the past 6 years go? Well, for that matter where the heck did the past 11 go?

Note to moms with little ones . . .
The days, months and years fly by TOO fast. Just when you think boy, I can’t wait till she’s out of those diapers or dang, I hope he learns to walk soon, before you know it, you’ll be sitting at home wondering how her first day at the Jr. High School went! Enjoy them now because it will be over before you know it.

I’m sure she’s doing fine and she’s probably having a great time being a “big girl” now. She’s getting to see all her friends she missed over the summer and she’s getting a whole new experience. So, why can’t mom enjoy it too??

Link Exchanges Are Worthless

Yup I stating it. Take it as opinion or fact, but this is what I’ve decided. I mentioned this a bit in a previous post about gaining back links, but I now feel more strongly about it than I did before. Link exchanges, in general, are completely worthless.

Teens Train Mom

©Lisa Barker

My thirteen-year old daughters are leaving a legacy for the other kids. There are some unspoken rules that I’ve come to respect.

1. When the door is closed to our room and you hear music, please knock.

2. When the door to our room is closed and you don’t hear music, please knock.

3. If you hear music and you like it, you’re more than welcome to listen…if you sit outside the closed door. Please, don’t sing.

4. When we shop for clothes, just leave us to ourselves. We have good taste and a fabulous sense of propriety and modesty. We’ll find you when we’re ready for you to pay. Please, don’t page us again.

They Let Me In PTO!

Well I never thought they’d turn me into one. I’m not a “soccer mom”, but I AM a PTO mom. Crazy that they “let me in”. Of course I’m trying to get through doing as little work as possible, but darn my hand…. it keeps volunteering me for things.

School Lunch Ideas

It’s that time of year again - back to school means back to coming up with healthy school lunch ideas. While school lunches seem to be getting better (at least in my neck of the woods), there’s still those days where we just know they won’t even touch it.

HitTail - My New Favorite Toy

Funny thing what I stumbled on today. I’m in full on SEO mode, and came across this nifty little tool to use on your website. I could have waited until they came out with an affiliate program for this (I’m sure it will be available in the near future), but I felt the need to mention it even though I’m not trying to make a buck.
