Poof, there she goes!
For those who have been around me for awhile, you know I tend to fall off the face of the internet world once in awhile. Rest assure I’m still here, I just tend to go into hiding once in awhile.

I didn’t think it was possible, but I’ve found new ways to dislike Google. I now also see why Traffic Secrets has a new version coming out. Not to say the old one isn’t still useful, but there’s information that does need to be updated.
I spend a little too much time at MySpace sometimes. I haven’t been there as much as I use to, but I still play there quite a bit. So I decided I needed to make my own fun quiz directly related to MY business (can we say, kill two birds with one stone?)
I guess everyone is in the “tag” mood, because I’ve been tagged again! This time the post is all about where I hang out and network. Dianne tagged me this time, because I suppose we are still in debt to her for the domain name
Online Advertising Secrets Exposed - Part 3Â
Content sites are one of the more effective ways to advertise online. If you have your own content site, then you are making your own traffic by advertising in the search engines. This means that as long as your content site is on the same topic as the product that you are trying to sell, then your traffic is going to be much more targeted. The people that are going to your site are going there to find information, so it doesn’t take a genius to realize, they are interested in that topic. So, common sense tells you that to make the best use of that traffic, you have to sell something that relates to the same topic.
This is not your average wahm product. Especially when it was first released with a price tag of $997. Yikes. No doubt it was good information, but not something I could justify at the time.
Today we made mention in Direct Sales Helpers News how even direct sales consultants can take advantage of this new way of marketing. These reports don’t even have to be any where close to business related, and actually we recommend they not be. Who needs another business ebook on the market? Go for something consumers are going to want!
I’ve been tagged by Becky Hagel to post my top 10 success tips. These are so much fun, so I have to play! I’ll be posting shortly who I decide to tag…
1. Build a Website
This seems simple, but I know of many who still don’t have a website or “real” hosting. For those that don’t…..DO IT. Your sales will double or even triple, and the income possibility is so much more than those with rep sites or free hosting.
2. Have a newsletter
I can’t stress this one enough. The money is in the list and there is no denying it. Becky had this same tip on her list, but I felt it needed to be said again because it is just THAT important. You absolutely need a list, even if you only mail them once a month or when a new product rolls in.
3. Learn SEO
Which stands for “search engine optimization”. For those always seeking free advertising, SEO is the best you will EVER get. Learn it, live it, love it (or hate it during Google dances, but that’s a different story lol).
4. Respect Others
Stealing ideas and badmouthing others will get you nowhere. Respect customers and others in business, even when you don’t agree with them. There is always a professional way to handle things. Also stealing will get you blacklisted in many circles - business owners talk privately to other business owners!
5. Network
Even if you just pop in to a handful of groups and boards, always have a few places to network. Those people come in handy when you are in search of reviews, link exchanges, and other help. You can’t do it all alone, and neither can someone else. So lend a helping hand when you can as well!
6. Have a To-Do list
In some shape or form, you need a list. It doesn’t matter how it’s set up, just as long as it’s there. Anita prefers to keep a running list while I choose to have a daily list (and a back up running list). Neither way is “wrong”. The idea is to keep you moving with what you need to do to hit your goals.
7. Never stop learning
Regardless of what you do online, you never stop learning. Search engines change, marketing changes, customers change behavior, and new ideas come along. Make sure you are subscribed to at least 2-3 newsletters that teach you and maybe offer you their top marketing products once in awhile.
8. Work Your Business
Don’t spend all day on boards and reading newsletters. Actually get out there and WORK your business. Also be sure you apply what you learn instead of just thinking it’s a good idea. DO IT!
9. Start a Blog
Even if it’s just for your own ramblings, it’s a good idea to have a blog. Search engines love blogs with good content, and you never know when someone is going to find your ramblings and become a customer.
10. Have a Schedule
It’s easy to spend all your time on your business and forget about your home/family. On the same turn, it’s easy to forget about your business and play all day. Make sure you have a certain time to work and a certain time for family/home/play.
Now for the two I’m tagging………….Lynn and Val, you have been tagged!
Being a work at home mom is hard enough. There’s tons of resources out there for work at home moms, but hardly any for single wahms. That’s about to change…..
If you are single, you know how difficult it is to juggle all the responsibilities of work, home, and family. This is where the Single Work At Home Mom Guide will come in handy.

This has been an awfully fun weekend, what with my oldest battling and ear ache. Normally we take care of them with garlic oil (and yes this works like a CHARM, and all we’ve used since he was a baby), but this weekend his father had to mess things up.
For those of you divorced, you know how fun it is leaving a sick kid in the care of an ex. Rarely do they do things the way you want them done, and half the time they do it opposite just out of spite. Right now I’m just fit to be tied, because my ex caused some major problems for my son’s ear ache just because he didn’t do what he was told. We have NEVER had this many problems with an ear ache using just garlic oil. But he didn’t use it, let my son cry all day, and then took him to the WORST clinic possible. Guess what? They screwed up and gave him the wrong medication. SURPRISE SURPRISE! He knew better too, which really makes me mad.
It finally took going to our normal doctor and a specialist, but we got it all figured out now. He’s on antibiotics, has the right drops, and allergy meds too (I believe just to clear up all the congestion, there will be no refills or regular doses). The other drops he came home with have been tossed, since they aren’t to be used with a ruptured ear (and come to find out this ear was already ruptured when my ex took him in….they were too stupid to notice!).
So yes I’m very upset, and know better than to put my kids in anyone else’s care while they are sick. In most cases, MOM KNOWS BEST!
