Needing a Shopping Cart Solution

I’ve been thinking about installing a shopping cart on MommysHelperOnline.com for quite some time now. (Time being the operative word here, lol – gotta find that time to do it!)

I’d like to combine all my ebooks and all of my advertising into one shopping cart – making the ordering process a lot more simpler for my customers and more importantly automating it more. For the most part, it is automated but not quite to my complete satisfaction.

I just found a new shopping cart solution which now brings me down to making a decision between two. (Hey it could be four or five, lol!)

The first one I like is WahmCart and the new one is Easy Seller Pro

It’s a really tough decision too! Both carts seemed to have take all the issues most marketers have and combined them all into one “one stop shop” (excuse the pun!).

As I look down over the list of benefits and features to both – they both seem to have an answer to all my problems or everything I’d love to have in a shopping cart (affiliate integration, choice of payment processors, ability to contact customers, etc.) again, making this a very tough decision!

One has an affordable monthly charge and a 14 day trial for $1 (don’t have 14 days at this point). One has a little more expensive but still very affordable one time fee and comes with 6 months of free hosting.

Both are “newbie friendly” which is something I could really use. Both are created by very successful and more importantly trustworthy women. Both have tons of step by step help throughout the process – another huge plus for me. Oh what’s a marketer to do?!?

Of course, as I usual find myself, Easy Seller Pro is in “launch mode” offering a special price for two weeks only. Soooo … like I have the time to do this but I should make my decision ASAP before I find myself paying full price yet again. (I’m my own worst enemy sometimes!)

I like the fact though that this also gives me another option to share with our clients for YourAffiliateManagers.com. As you can tell, I haven’t used Easy Seller Pro yet but, there is a 60 day money back guarantee plus, the recommendation came from a good friend of mine, Rebecca Hagel. She’d never steer us wrong and she uses only the best.

So it’s back to the drawing board …

Four Ways to Recession Proof Your Business

When times are rough – it’s time to get tough AND creative. The following are a few ideas on how to boost your business even during a recession.

Free Shipping

With gas prices the way they are today – who can resist a free shipping sale? Your customers can order from the comfort of their home, save the gas money AND not be over-charged in shipping prices. Consider dropping your shipping rates this holiday season.

Creative Payment Arrangements

Do the opposite of Walmart – bring back the layaway plans. Require a 10% non-refundable down payment and allow your customers make weekly payments until the merchandise is paid in full. Another option is to offer a set payment plan. Allow your customers to make 2 or 3 payments on an order instead of one lump sum.

Reconsider Those Auctions

I haven’t bought a present yet this year that I haven’t checked Ebay first. We’re all looking for a better deal, a cheaper option. If your company policies allow it, try placing a few items up for auction and see how you do. Those fees might not be so bad anymore.

Recruit, Recruit, Recruit

Did I mention recruit? Folks aren’t just tightening the purse strings – they’re also out looking for a way to make a quick buck. So give it to them! Create a knock out plan to train your recruits on how to make some quick cash for the holidays. Work on those recruiting ads and create a start up plan no one can resist. What can you give your new recruits to help them kick start their new business?
