A Tale of 2 WAHMs

Normally you wouldn’t catch me recommending “traffic exchange programs”. As a matter of fact, this is only the second one I’ve ever seen that I’ll truely make my mark of approval. (First one being BlogExplsion) Normally I don’t believe in them. However this one, created by John Reese (who I personally adore) is like none other. Not only does this create more traffic to your blog, but also creates content too. (Yeah, now who wouldn’t like that?)

But, the way it works is you place a small widget on the sidebar of your blog and it lists blog posts (and links) of other members. The more the links are shown on your blog and the more people you refer using your referral links gets you something called syndication credits which gives your posts more exposure on the blogosphere. Is that cool or what?

P.S. So far I haven’t had any problems personally but apparently there’s been such a mad “rush” (excuse the pun, lol) that some folks are having a hard time getting in. If this happens to you, just be patient .. you’ll get there.

I picked Lara’s Place to share with our readers because … well, because I love the way Lara thinks! LOL! There’s been a lot of thought and research put in to SEO lately on my part. I’ve come to realize the best way to get pages that rank well is to get links. But not just any links - quality incoming links. Not “link exchanges” or “I’ll shove your link on my link page” links. Some have their place, but not if you are really striving for high SEO rankings.

In my research I’ve come to realize that links from blog posts hold about the highest weight for incoming links. This is why we are starting a game called the Blog Review Game.

The rules are pretty simple. You pick your favorite blog or site from the list, and blog about it. Tell us why you like it, why you’ll be back to it on a regular basis, and any other information you want to point out. Then we add YOUR blog or site to the list to be reviewed by others playing the game.

Finally!  I finally got an offer to do a website review that my readers may actually be interested in!  Surprising, eh?  LOL!  I think this website is perfect for a work at home mom trying to start her own business without a doubt!  This is perfect for those of you that are interested in selling on ebay, flea markets or another great idea is to build a niche website focusing on one or two items!  Have you ever been to a flea market and seen folks selling name brand sunglasses, cosmetics or toys?  I’m sure you have and if you’re anything like me … the first thing we think of is $$$ and business, right?  Ever wonder how they get this merchandise to be able to sell it at rock bottom prices?  I know I have and guess what, this website answers that exact question for me!  Hmm … guess I ought to share the website address, huh?

So, what are they?  What are your credit concerns?

Reviewing this blog was great for me because hubby and I have been working on cleaning up our credit and making it squeaky clean.  It’s not that we have horrible credit anymore, it’s just that … well, we were young and just about anyone would give us a credit card!  We haven’t had credit cards in a few years but, we’re still paying for it in our mortgage payment.  I don’t know how many times we’ve re-mortgaged now.  Then we kept getting these so-called “band-aid” loans that would give us this great rate that would only be good for about 2 years.  So, we’d have to re-mortgage again and so on and so on.
