A Tale of 2 WAHMs

I must apologize, it’s been quite a while since my update.  The three of us have been super-busy with home life this summer and we were all busy enough BEFORE taking on a new project, so therefore, I can honestly say Val, Lauren & I have been working our cabooses off!  But, that’s okay … it’s going to be WELL worth it

So, let’s see … what have we been doing?  Well, I guess it’s more than obvious that it’s going to be a new website for work at home moms (yeah, I know … you can say DUH now).  So, I can tell you that Val has been busy with the techy end and making sure everything is going to run smoothly.  And I can tell you that Lauren has been doing a fantastic job with creating us some creative ads, logos, buttons and banners.  Me?  Well, how can I tell you what I’ve been doing without giving it away.  Oh!  Here’s one thing … I worked on the privacy statement.  You can get a “fill in the blank” privacy statement http://www.the-dma.org.  So, basically what I did was go and fill in the blanks, took the form generator and basically edited it till it no longer looks anything like the generated form. 

We also had some very HUGE good news!!  Long story short, we had bought one domain for this site but all that was available was .NET  We had also noticed that the person who owned the .COM version didn’t do anything with it (don’t you hate that??).  So, we had Mommy’s Helper Affordable domain names and hosting put it on backorder.  Good news!  Sunday night we capture the .COM name!!

We’re planning what we’ve been calling a “soft opening” here very, very soon.  We’ll have a few of our closest friends come in and test the waters for us.  Then . . . after that, we’ll be ready for our Official Launch!  Yay!!
