Back to Work!
After a week of doing nothing but checking email, it’s time for me to actually get back to work. We’ve had a fun week though of relaxing and spending family time together. Now I just have to find my motivation…..
One of the many joys of working at home. The ability to say on a whim “I think I’ll take this week off”. We didn’t really go anywhere aside from local 4th of July festivities and to a new park close by. But still it was a vacation in the sense I did absolutely nothing business related.
Another joy is that all that time I was “on vacation”, my income hasn’t dropped. Of course I can’t say it’s improved any doing absolutely nothing, but you can’t expect things to improve when you are sitting idle.
So this week I’m jumping back in. Last month I set up the candle affiliate program, but it hasn’t taken off like I wanted it to. I’m sure “ground floor” scares people away, but still in my mind I saw quite a few more affiliates than this. I saw more sales too. Here I was all worried we were going to get overwhelmed. HA! Couldn’t be farther from the truth right now.
This is new territory for me. I don’t know how to recruit, but luckily I know people that do. I guess maybe it’s a little different when it’s your own company you are recruiting for, but the same promotion principles apply.
I have a general idea of things I want to accomplish, so the dry erase board has been pulled out. Since we are doing away with the wholesale program, there’s content and links that need to be changed. Finding all those should keep me busy for at least a day or two.
After that, what? I’m not sure. Signature lines and the like will probably be part of it, but after that I’ll probably have to go reading. Reading and learning always get me motivated, so that will kill two birds with one stone.
So did everyone else take their vacation last week, or is that still to come?
