My New Car
If I was the average guru, this post would probably be bragging about a brand new $50,000 sports car. Who wants to hear about that? Well I’m sure not many are going to care about MY brag either, but at least it’s not as bad as the guru example.
I’m just too weird about the cars I drive. In my 10 years of driving (showing my age here), I’ve owned a total of 3 cars. Yup that’s it. Three. The weird thing is they’ve all been a Pontiac. The same make even (well kinda).
My first car in high school was a little black 90 Sunbird. How sweet that car was to a 16 yr old. It wasn’t all that expensive ($4,000 if I remember correctly), but it might as well been to me. I guarded that car with my life, and it went all over the country. Even when I got my next car I wouldn’t give it up. It became the spare car (and even made another trip half way across the country and back) before it finally died at nearly 200,000 miles.
The next car was another one just like it. A 98 black Sunfire this time, because they didn’t make the Sunbirds anymore. It too was my baby, but more practical. Only a year old when I bought it, and I only paid $8,000. It’s been very good to me for almost 8years. Poor thing has been beat to hell though, so it was time for a new one (I’m still cursing the deer that bounced off the side of it!).
Now for my latest car I just got yesterday. Yup you guessed it - another Sunfire. This time silver and a 2005. Boy is it sweet. Especially because it was only $10,500. Yes I’m excited because for the first time I have a CD player in my car! Hurray!
I’m so excited it almost makes me want to get a real job to commute. Alright well maybe not that excited lol.

Oh totally! Music up is the only way to go….got to drowned out the fighting kids somehow! (Totally kidding lol). Which actually that’s another benefit - it’s a 2 door so no one can mess with windows in the back or plan escapes! WOO HOO!
