Getting Paid to Write Articles

Ever since the day I woke up and realized I had the experience behind me to be a freelance writer, I’ve been on a mission to turn it into a career. To get it going, my first step has been to get paid for writing articles.

There’s just one big problem with this – my grammar is HORRIBLE. That’s an easy fix though, with a little help…

For the past week or so, I’ve been using a program by Whitesmoke that I’m in love with. After testing out the free trial, I decided it was a must-have product if I was going to be writing on a regular basis. So far, it’s been a HUGE help, and I’ve already seen an improvement. Granted no grammar checker is perfect, but this one caught a lot more than Microsoft Word has.

I’ve also been testing out a few article databases that pay. Three, to be exact, which I have no complaints with in the least.

The first is Constant Content, which is by far my favorite. It’s a tough one to get published on, and articles must be absolutely perfect before they’ll accept it. Here you have the option of setting the price for your unique article, and if you’d like to offer full rights or just useage rigths. So far, I’ve sold the same article twice, which I don’t think is too bad at all.

The second site, Associated Content, I played with some time ago, and have now returned to it. This one also allows you to post articles that have previously been posted somewhere else, although you only recieve income off the views. Unique articles, however, you can submit for upfront payment on PLUS payment on views. You can see my personal profile here.

Finally, there’s Info Barrel. This one I’m just starting to investigate, so have absolutely no idea how great the views per article are. However, it works directly with your Google Adsense account. 75% of Adsense shown goes directly to you. Should the be ranked well and pull in visitors, this may be an excellent option for those who want to write. The only downside is the articles must be 100% unique, not posted anywhere else. The upside, however, is you are allowed to have 2 self-serving links. Which means for those looking to build backlinks AND make a few bucks on the side have a huge advantage with this website.

With the combination of all of the above, I’m well on my way to being an established article writer. It won’t be an easy road, but I do hope it will be a profitable one!

    Hello Kara,

It’s great to make money with just writing articles (although it’s not so simple as everyone things).

What I like most about it is that even after you have stopped writing this articles might still produce residual income that can make some cash at the end of the month.

I also wanted to recommend you Bukisa as a content distribution network which pays for impressions.

What you can do is to write and article (oh first you have to find more such networks that pay you to publish your articles on their wesbite) and first publish it on the website that you know has the most strict rules then, you can publish it on other different network. This way one article can produce not one but multiple incomes ;) .

    Please keep us posted!

I am so glad you wrote about this, cause writing articles and getting paid is a great way to earn some fast $ – I wrote about this a while back too. Because there are so many newbies who don’t know about this.

    Thanks again.

Thanks for sharing. I only know associatedcontent.com as a way to get paid to write articles. I never knew of the other ones. Thanks for sharing once again.
