Candle Affiliates - Are We Ready?
Anita can stop bugging me now, I finally got the affiliate program set up for Prairie Soy Candles! I’m surprised how quickly I actually got it done. I haven’t officially released it to the public though, mostly because I’m still looking for feedback.
I mentioned before I would be limiting the number of affiliates I allowed to join to start out with. I decided to limit it to 10, thinking that was plenty to pull feedback from and really test to see how much extra work just a few would send us.
The back office is all set up now, with all the marketing materials in place. There’s also a yahoo group set up for affiliates to join and chat. I hope the group will be a great place for brainstorming and getting help getting this affiliate program off the ground.
I probably shouldn’t mention this so early, but your going to hear it anyway - there is talk of being able to build a downline later down the road. We’ve got to make absolutely sure we can keep up with the orders from the original reps first before it grows anymore. Most likely when we are ready to add more, the original reps are going to be the only ones allowed to recruit.
Anyway, the page is up and affiliates are now being accepted. I don’t expect this to stay open for long though, since 3 spots are already taken and I just made mention of it at Mommy’s Helper yesterday.
