It’s official, I’m a soda-holic!
My name is Anita DeFrank and I am a soda-holic. Isn’t that the first step? Seriously, ask my friends and they’ll tell you they never see me without a pepsi in my hands. 24/7/365
That’d be why I’m really excited about this new product I found via Twitter of my good friend @Ravish30 – actually I found the contest to win one and the name of the product really caught my attention. It’s called SodaStream
Sounds cool, doesn’t it? (Well if you’re a soda-holic like me then it really caught your attention as it did mine, lol!)
I clicked on her giveaway link just so I could at least see what the product was. You’ve got to at least go to SodaStreamUSA (link above) and check out the video. It’s pretty short but it shows you exactly what this thing does and how it works. To make the long story short … you make your own soda at home! Do you have any idea how much money that would save me??
And I’ll admit upfront, the main reason I’m telling our readers about this is cause it’ll get me 5 extra entries to Laura’s contest at New Age Mama’s but that’s not the only reason. I truly think this product is cool! Plus Laura gave it a great review to boot. I’d love to get my hands on one of these!
You too can get a few chances to win by entering here:

And I’ll wish you good luck but darnit, I really want this thing! lol!
{Sigh} Now if only I could just convice the folks at @sodastreamusa to let me do a review for you all …
Your fellow WAHM in success,
Anita

Count me in. I am also a soda addict. But you know what I was amazed when I read your post about sodastream. I actually checked the link. It’s like a DIY soda or something.

Well … no win for me
I *really* *really* did want this thing and for some reason am super interested in doing a review for all my readers here and elsewhere. Yeah, needless to say, I’ve been very inconspicuously tweeting to @sodastreamUSA that @anitadefrank would *love* to do a review/contest for her readers! LOL!
Sorry neither of you were the winners either
Shermaine – Yes! DIY! Isn’t that just the coolest thing? And just think of the money that could be saved with this thing – wow!
Laura seems to be impressed with the taste in comparison to … uh dare I say “real soda” in her review and she’s very honest in her reviews.

Hi Anita just browsing your site again after you did my site critique and I came across this thread. I am completely amazed at you American ladies not knowing about Sodastreams !!
It seems like all we did during the summer was to make hundreds of bottles of fizzy ‘stuff’ which sometimes was a bit bizarre when we mixed flavours together. No doubt it was full of loads of artificial colours, flavours, carginogenic forming chemicals etc but a lot of us are still here to tell the tale so it didn’t do us a lot of harm. I just did a web search on Sodastream and you will be amazed at when it was invented – it was over 100 years ago by a guy in England. It was obviously rather exclusive as it was given to the members of the Royal family (not peasants like me!) Here is a link to the Wikipedia section it is quite fascinating to read and fills me with nostalgia and obviously you with excitement. The trouble is if you had a never ending stream of fizzy drinks eventually you’ll explode
I thought all of this inventions had originated in USA but obviously not this one. When I was growing up in the 1970′s in the UK nearly every family had a Sodastream. Into the 1980′s when they started to die out in popularity. The flavours were a bit limited and no one had heard of fizzy water or energy drinks back then
Have a read of it and be surprised, heres the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodastream
I am now having thoughts about a new site …..
