I recently heard of Joomla also. Before I heard of Joomla I was debating between using WP or blogspot. This post is what eventually made me decide on Joomla: http://www.alltipsandtricks.com/is-a-joomla-template-setup-easier-than-a-wordpress-one/

I've experimented with Joomla earlier this year and I found it to be a bit confusing. Granted, I did not spend an adequate amount of time with it, but I became discouraged with the learning curve.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with Joomla from an SEO perspective if you set it up correctly. You'll definitely want to use sh404sef. However, that being said it is nowhere near as easy as WordPress to get right on many accounts.

The upside is that the Joomla community seems more helpful overall than the WordPress community, but that could be because the Joomla community has a higher geek:non-geek ratio.

As for a WordPress magazine theme - http://www.studiopress.com offers a really nice one.

Do you believe that Joomla is safe? I saw that we have to be very careful with free services online, because I lost four blogger.com blogs which were infected by malware while my computer was infected too, and nobody helped me clean them or find out what could be done, and I lost also my free Wordpress blogs without any explanation, and without any answer from Wordpress, besides my messages.

So, now I have a Wordpress blog connected to my domain name, and a second Blogger blog for a few articles with different perspective.

However, if Joomla is safe, I would like to create more blogs using it too. Perhaps their support is much better. It seems to be… according to my opinion, after visiting their site.

Well i guess that you just used the one that you are familiar with because it will consume much of your time in learning with it..WP is good in online marketing than using joomla. Yes you can play with it there is many editing option but not good online marketing. I'm familiar with the joomla and I've used it in creating a site it is a content management system (we called it CMS)and its purpose is really for website not intended for sort of marketing.

I'm a big fan of WP but I've never tried Joomla. All the reviews I've heard of it through an SEO perspective aren't very good though. So I'd be interested to hear your review.
