Changes Galore

I’m the type of person who dreads change. In fact, I find myself right now looking for a new car to replace the old………the same make and model even. Alright so I’m about to settle on a different color and a few other minor changes, but how sad is that? Not to mention this will be the THIRD car like this I will own.

This is what makes all these changes so amazing on my end. In the past week, we’ve:

- Got a new mailing list provider
- Closed our oldest list
- Moved our blog
- Changed the header and slightly the layout of Direct Sales Helpers

Now I know that doesn’t seem like a whole lot, but you have to keep in mind how much work this really is. Changing the mailing list provider was HUGE. I’ve gotten very comfortable using the same one for the past 4 years. Now I’ve been thrown into something totally new, but I LOVE IT. Aweber is possibly the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in online marketing (again, how sad is THAT?). What an overhaul that was, and we’re still finding subscription boxes that need changed!

Moving the blog was another huge leap. It’s been sitting in the same place at blogger for almost 3 years now. Same template even. Oh did it need a face lift, and so badly needed to be moved. I was very hesitant because we are starting over with backlinks and have to change HOARDS of links. I don’t even know where half of those links are hiding, but I’m sure I’ll get them all eventually. Setting this all up took an entire day, and I’m still not done.

Closing the old list was heartbreaking as mentioned in my last post, but it was time. The list was no longer active and it was just time to split it up.

Then today I worked on changing the layout of Direct Sales Helpers a bit, and I think I’m happy with the header for the time being. It still need some work, but I’ll get to it eventually.

I really am excited with all these changes, and I feel like they are pushing us to places we needed to go a long time ago. But if you happen to see some odd things here and there, I apologize. I’m still working out the bugs and playing with layouts!

Increasing in Him,
Kara
