What are your credit concens?

So, what are they?  What are your credit concerns?

Reviewing this blog was great for me because hubby and I have been working on cleaning up our credit and making it squeaky clean.  It’s not that we have horrible credit anymore, it’s just that … well, we were young and just about anyone would give us a credit card!  We haven’t had credit cards in a few years but, we’re still paying for it in our mortgage payment.  I don’t know how many times we’ve re-mortgaged now.  Then we kept getting these so-called “band-aid” loans that would give us this great rate that would only be good for about 2 years.  So, we’d have to re-mortgage again and so on and so on.

Anyway, about this blog …
Just reading the first page, I was able to learn:
- - - > Reasons why my credit card rates may have “just gone up”
- - - > Whether or not I should cancel my unused credit cards before applying for a loan
- - - > Things that I thought were good for my credit that can actually hurt it
- - - > A surefire way to help imrove my credit score and maintain it
- - - > The best way to make sure you never miss any payments
- - - > Some things that have made interest rates for all borrowers
- - - > What to do when bad credit happens to good people
- - - > Why someone should employ a credit repair company or if you can do the repairs yourself
- - - > Things I can do to improve my credit score
- - - > What exactly my credit score number means
- - - > How a new law allows you to receive a free copy of your credit report from Equifax, TransUnion and Experian (the three credit reporting services)

Plus much more of course!

I believe the owner was more interested in his blogging efforts so, I’ll work on that next.

My first overall opinion is great blog!  As I mentioned, this is a subject that I am very interested in right now.  So, at this point, I’d say I’m a great person to review this blog in that aspect.  I also believe done correctly, this blog can improve the owner’s business immensely.  With a topic such as this one, potential clients are going to be more apt to research this topic.  Unless highly recommended by a family member, friend etc, most are not going to just jump in and hire a credit repair and restoration company.  Posting information such as this will help potential clients see that the owner knows his stuff and establishes himself as an expert in his field.

The owner is interested in some healthy blogging advice so here goes.

- - - > I would encourage to increase the posting frequency.  In the very beginning the posts were every couple of weeks which, with a subject such as this one, it’s probably difficult to do much more than this.  However often it’s decided on, try to keep it as “regular” as possible.  He’ll want to stay in front of potential clients as much as possible.  Posting regular also shows that the owner is reliable.

- - - > I would recommend adding another “feed service” or something of the likes.  For example, the service we use is Aweber  With this service, readers are able to subscribe to the blog and will be sent an email with updates that are made.  Some great features with this is you’re able to design what the email will look like, enabling you to have it match your website, choose from pre-made templates or send it out in simple text.  You can also choose when it is sent out.  For example, you can have it sent out after every post or after every four posts.  A service such as this is just another way to keep in front of customers.

- - - > I would also recommend maybe adding some links to the navigation on the left.  Links that I’m talking about are some resources.  For example, links to the 3 credit reporting services (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion) would be very helpful to readers.  Another example is the “What does my credit score number mean?”  Yes, these are in posts, but these are some frequently needed links that will make it easier for readers.  Actually, the owner might want to consider making a “frequently asked questions” post and posting a link to that one.

Those are just a few things that really jump out at me and I’m looking forward to seeing the resurrection.
