LOL Anita
early is normally by 5
summer early is like 4ish 4:30ish that way I can get a good 5-6 hours in before DD wakes up! LOL
Then go have some fun, come back and get to it later :)
Of course I have my cell phone w/me at all times so everyone can get in touch with me anytime.

Okay Tara - I KNOW what your early is. How on earth do you get up even earlier? I wish I could live with as little sleep as you get! LOL!

Although, I must say that I've been learning that I didn't need the amount of sleep I was getting and actually feel better with a little less sleep. So, I've been staying up quite a bit later than I used to and I'm getting more work done that way.

Kim - that's an awesome way to do it! As a matter of fact, I recommend it to lots of people all the time. I used to make lists all the time. Somewhere along the way I stopped. I really need to start it again!

Well, I'm probably the odd ball but I get up even earlier than my normal early and get most my work done before kids even wake up!
Then we get to go on day trips, movies, screw off during the day doing whatever we want.
Then I work again late late night so everything still gets done for work and we have some fun too!

All i can say is List, List, List. My tip is to write yourself a list of jobs that you want to accomplish. Do this last thing at night before you go to bed, then you will be able to sleep with a clear mind, knowing that you have written down your jobs for the next day. I find this really helpful, especially when it comes to work that i want to do on my two ART websites.

In eight years of working from home (and with two little girls now), I have tried every trick in the book to balance it all!

This summer, I am balancing the time itself. Of the 8 weeks of summer, the kids will be with me part of the time and doing other fun things part of the time. One week will be spent camping with their grandparents. Two weeks will be spent at a crafty summer camp down the street from our house. Interspersed in all of those weeks will be the weeks completely with me. But during those weeks we will have our babysitter come over X hours a week and teach the kids how to swim. So I can combine some babysitting time with the lessons themselves and save myself travel time.

It will be juggling act no doubt! I already subscribed to Highlights and puzzle magazines and picked up various workbooks, flashcards, and crafts.
