Trick or Treat!
I absolutely love Halloween. I think everyone knows THIS is my holiday. We could skip Christmas and I’d be happy. I know I’m not with the general public on that one, but I can’t help it! I just love this time of year!
So I thought it would be fun to have everyone share what their kiddos are dressing up as this year. We go out tonight actually, and I’m in the middle of putting together costumes (currently we are all sitting while fingernails dry!).
My son is going as “death” (the grim reaper, but he says it’s just death). We picked up a mask that has a switch, making it glow different colors. VERY cool.
My daughter decided to be a mermaid this year, and looks absolutely adorable. It was a simple costume picked up from my most hated of all shopping outlets (I know, I try to avoid shopping there, but it was the easiest place to pick up a costume!). She’s actually not just ANY mermaid, but Ariel herself. Ok minus the red hair. I didn’t get THAT particular.
So what are your kids dressing up as? Or maybe what are YOU going as too?

I love Halloween too! Maybe not quite as much as you … I could NEVER do without Christmas, lol! But, I DO enjoy it. I keep saying, one of these years we’re going to have a HUGE Halloween party. (LOL! I actually set up a reminder in my yahoo reminders to remind me ahead of time next year to start planning an outrageous party!)
Anyway …
Back to the question at hand. Melanie went as something that was a mix between a ghost and a witch (that’s my description anyway, lol!) She wore a black dress and black hooded cape with a long wig of grey and black hair. She also had a white face with jet black eyes and lips. I did her makeup and I think I did pretty darn good, lol!
Remember the scream movies? Cole went as what I was calling the “scream guy” LOL! He looked good. This was the first year he didn’t do a “cute costume” or something like Spiderman, Power Ranger etc. He wanted to be something “scary”. Although, he has no idea who the “scream guy” is!
