Mystery Shopping Sites

I don’t usually get into sharing much about Mystery Shopping because there are so many out there that require you to pay money and quite frankly, there’s a ton that are nothing more than scams. However, I have managed to receive a list of sites that are completely and totally legit. An offline friend of mine shared them with me and the way we know they’re legit is the fact that she’s been working with these companies for the past 3 years. I was really excited to hear this and even more excited when she gave me the list to share with my readers! Enjoy!

Anita, it is very true that you should not pay for any list of companies. And legitimate mystery shopping companies do not charge you to apply, so never pay a fee to sign up.

One of the companies on your list is a scam. Or, I should say WAS a scam. MysteryShopLink was shut down by the FTC a while back.

I am not familiar with msishopper.com, and the link takes me to a login page. However, I do know the other companies you list and all are great mystery shopping companies.

I have a list of almost 200 mystery shopping companies on my site (for free) at http://www.MysteryShoppersManual.com/

Thanks for sharing this information. I would be glad to provide more mystery shopping tips and advice if you have any questions.

Thanks Cathy!
See, this is exactly why I’ve never gotten into this too much. Here I thought I had a super-excellent resource (and I know she’d not steer me wrong) and look at what happens.

I temporarily took the link down until we find out for sure. I did email my friend and she said that she hasn’t gotten any assignments from them in probably 6 months.

Thanks so much for coming along and correcting this list for me.

Again, see why? LOL!

It’s been awhile since I’ve been involved with this. Back when I only had ONE kid in tow, and gas was $1.30! If I lived in the city I’d probably still do it, but it’s just too time consuming and would cost me more in gas than it’s worth.

However, it CAN be a profitable business. You can seriously make a nice part time income off of basically shopping and eating out. Just like any business though, it takes time to build up a list of regular companies and projects. After awhile, some will contact you on a regular basis to do private ones and also you get to do certain ones every single month.

Great for extra cash, that’s for sure!

When I was talking with my friend about it, we discussed the very issue of whether on not it was worth it. For her, she doesn’t have any kids in tow anymore and if I understood her correctly, the companies listed above have put her on local lists and now she works personally with different businesses. For example, she was on her way out the door to a local grocery store. (I probably shouldn’t mention the name of the store just in case.) But, she’s a “regular” with that particular store now and they contact her rather than the companies such as the ones listed above. Make sense? Apparently, she has quite a few local businesses now that are set up that way.

She has it set up that she only does ones within a certain amount of miles away and is able to easily schedule her daily errands around it. It seems to be working very well for her and she seems to be enjoying it.

I had put some thought into it when I first started working online but I didn’t feel like rummaging through the junk and my kids were really young so I needed something that kept me more home-bound. However, I could really get into going out to eat for free!

Hey Anita,

I know this post is old but…

I have a giant list of 217 mystery shopping companies, plus a list of recommended companies, if you want it, I can share it with you so that you can post it on your blog.
